Juniper Networks Routers Deployed for Core of Yamanashi Information Highway; M-series Routers Enable Local Japanese Government to Create Next-Generation Backbone Consolidating Video and Data Networks Throughout Region

Business Wire: Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR) today announced that the Yamanashi Prefecture region of Japan has deployed Juniper Networks M-series multiservice routers to help create the Yamanashi Information Highway, a next generation communications backbone which connects local government offices, cable television providers, banks and other businesses within the region. The Yamanashi Information Highway, deployed in July 2006, consolidates all data communications and broadcasting networks on a single, converged IP/MPLS network, and leverages the JUNOS operating system to create a customizable management interface for connected institutions.
